Auctionmonster
Fine print ripoff

Shops, Products, Services

I signed up for an opportunity to benefit from online auctions, thinking it was a legitimate opportunity for the reasonable sum of $4.75 US. When checking my credit card statement online, I discovered I had been charged an extra $72.89 CDN a few days later.

When I called the company, they informed me that in the "terms of agreement" that it states that the $4.75 is a 10 day trial only, and that after the 10 days they charge the full amount. This information is carefully buried in the fine print, which is underhanded and dishonest, and a complete scam. I am disputing the charge with my credit card company.
