Billed more than sales person promised by over $20.00 per month

I received a flier regarding a Dish Network promotion where I could get free HBO, Showtime and Cinemas free for 3 months. I called the 800 number and spoke to a sales person regarding the promotion. I was told that if I agreed to an 18 month contract, and agreed to pay the bill via Auto Pay, I would receive the Top 200 bundle for $32.99 per month plus the free movie channels. I was also told that because the location I wanted my dish installed was at a golf course RV park, I could discontinue my service for six months during the winter (October - April) when I wouldn't be at the RV park. During this six month period I would only have to pay $19.00 every 90 days to cover the warranty on the equipment. I asked the sales person over and over again if the only charge during the October to April time period would be the $19.00 and she assured me over and over again that that was the total amount I would have to pay during that period.

Because we had several other promotional programs going on when I ordered Dish Network, the first couple bills fluctuated somewhat, both times over $50.00, but I figured it was just taking time for them to get things straight. When I received my last bill which was again for over $50.00 I called the Customer Service 800 number. I explained that the Sales person had assured me that my service would cost me $32.99 per month, and that I was told that I could discontinue my service during the winter months.

The Customer Service Rep stated that my next bill had just been sent out and it was in the amount of $57.08. I asked why it was so much more than I had been quoted, she said there was nothing that could be done about it. She indicated that the Sales Person should never have told me what she told me.

I don't know which middle company initially contacted me, but this type of doing business should not be allowed to happen. I don't remember ever signing a contract and if I did sign something, I did not get a copy. I have sent an email to Dish Network for a copy of the contract, but have not heard anything yet.
