Door to Door Magazine Sales - College Students selling to win a trip. Ripoff

Shops, Products, Services

On April 10 a young man knocked on my door and my 12 year old son answered the door. He gave us a short story about how he was selling magazine subscriptions & that he was competing with other college students to win a trip.

My son's birthday was that week, so we purchased the ESPN Magazine which was to be 26 issues. The magazines should have arrived within 6-8 weeks. I wrote this student a check for $40.00 & it cleared the bank within a couple of days. We have not received any magazines as of date. He provided a phone number that we could call 1-940-765-2327 & it continually rings busy - no matter what time of day you call.

I want my money back - this is very sad that they are posing as college students to pull a scam.

We are very unhappy about this.
