Took our money and never helped us - a huge RIP-OFF

More than a year ago, we attended an appointment at the local JK Harris office. We filled out all of the financial forms and handed over all of our IRS information.

First of all we NEVER were informed that we would be dealing only with someone over a thousand miles away. The lady we spoke with in the local office clearly indicated that we would be going there/dealing with them locally.

Second, we gave a down payment, and then have faithfully and timely made subsequent monthly payments (a lot of money).

To date (07/13) we have received NOTHING, except monthly statements from their finance company.
Notwithstanding the fact that we (previously) have acknowledgement from them and their finance company that they had received our new contact information; in May, we received a phone call from a quite unpleasant "Case Specialist" representative stating that nothing had been done because they had been corresponding with at our former (up to July) address. This woman (Sanicqua Jackson) acknowledged that they had done nothing for us by blaming us for not communicating so they would be able to do something for us.

We cancelled the monthly payments; closed our account and requested a full (because they did nothing for us) refund. Just now (07/13 @4:00 PM) I phoned about our refund and was transferred to a recorded message which discusses, due to a pending lawsuit, the delay in our refund. I further was told that our "settlement amount" was/is less than half of what they took/stole from us.

What kind of a business preys upon folks who already are struggling with the IRS? This is theft of the first order and these people should be stopped.

We do not want to wait for the settlement of a lawsuit; we want all of our money back NOW!
