Ripoff Dishonest fraudulent billing

We were contacted by Afni by a collection notice in the mail. I instantly called them to get more info. This was for a bill they say from April of 1997 to Jan. 1998. I informed them that we have NEVER had Verizon. Was told it could be anything that Verizon bought. Yea right. So well I have sent them the letter someone else posted requesting proof of bill, proof that statue of limitations has not ran out, and so on. Well in 30 days if not contacted by them I will send second letter, if they do send me a statement they still need to PROVE that the Statue of Limitation has NOT ran out. Which is impossible!

Also, look up Budhibbs.com. He has a great page and has heard of this company before! Nothing more then a company hoping that people will just pay without asking questions.

OH... One more thing, CHECK your credit report. Afni, Inc. Did a credit summary on MY credit in 11/07 but say that they were given my acct as past due from Verizon in 12/07. You do the math! Say what! I checked credit report from last year I had NO outstanding bills with ANYONE. So somehow they got my name, SS#, and THEN get my acct from Verizon. Come on!
