How Afni. Ruined my credit

Afni, inc., put four verizon bills that were not mine, on my credit report. I was in the middle of getting my credit up to purchase a home. I wrote Afni, no response. I called them, no answer. I disputed them thru Experian, the charges were verified accurate. I have never had a Verizon Acct, Never! I do not have the money to hire a lawyer. Isn't this fraud? How can they get away with ripping off so many people?
