Empire Today
Does not live up to it's own standards

I am having tile put into my home. We first called Empire about 2 weeks ago to have an in home appointment set for a free estimate. My wife and I both work for the same company and got off work a little early to meet the sales guy. It was 4:47 and we were 10 minutes from home. His window that he gave us was from anywhere between 5-7 P.M. He arrived at 4:50 P.M. And our 15 year old son answered the door. He said that my folks will be home around 5:00 P.M. The sales associate said o.K. He would be back in 15 minutes.

We figured maybe he will go get something to eat or drink and be back in 15 minutes. 20 minutes passes by and we contact his dispatch. He tells them that he will have to re-schedule because he is already across town.
In 15 minutes? Ruch Hour Traffic? In Houston? On I-45? Is he a freakin' magician? That's the first line of B.S. That we were fed.

So, we re-schedule at the mercy of Empire Today. The following Tuesday is when the supposed different sales associate was to come out.

Same time again, between 5-7 P.M. He shows at 5 minutes until 7! Somewhat rude and my 15 year old tells us that he is the same guy from the week before. Well we look past that and decide on our tile after getting over the sticker shock of being charged around $6.00/sq foot for ceramic tile! But, they do some things that most other companies in our area do not do. We went with them. They tell us that the tile will be at our home around 9:00 or 9:30 A.M. Not the next day but the day after on Thursday. My wife took the entire week off from work to take care of some things around the house.

They did not show until 12:10. My wife calls me at around 12:20 and tells me that they brought the wrong DAMN tile! Apparently someone "fat fingered" the keyboard when they input our order and then asked if we wanted to re-schedule! Not no but Hell NO!

I am, as we speak, raising Hell with the Project Manager type dude and the Sales Associate. If this is how my expereince is going to continue to be with Empire, then I will never use them again for any future projects. I have gone to the BBB site, looked at the other reports on this site and I can honestly say that there is plenty of more negative reports than there are positive reports. I will never use them again!!! Period!
