Ripoff Doesn't Deliver Results Horrible Experience

I have had a horrible 4 month experience with HiProfile, LLC located on 125 Summer Street in Boston, MA. It all started when I executed a full service contingency agreement with John Shaffer of HiProfile, LLC on 01/08/07 and paid a $4500 retainer.

I had recently paid Getinterviews.com a fee to revise my resume and provide additional job placement services. I am very pleased with the service provided by Getinterviews.com. Part of Getinterviews.com' service was to post my resume on various boards. I understand that HiProfile, LLC picked up my resume on one of the boards.

John Shaffer advertised his company as a "boutique specialized placement firm". Their service has been anything but specialized. The original Senior Placement Executive that was assigned to me, Donna Mase, left that company approximately 30 days after I signed up with the company. Donna and I worked on revising my resume, putting me through a personality assessment, creating a value statement and creating a plan to target potential employers. After Donna's departure it took two weeks before I met with my new point of contact, Paul Fowler.

Fast forward to May and they have sent out only 24 letters on my behalf. Many of the companies that were contacted were provided by me.in addition, I ended up creating the cover letter that was used in the introduction. I asked John how many of the 24 companies are existing HiProfile, LLC clients to which John said he couldn't tell me for confidentiality reasons.

I was told I would receive regualr bi-weekly updates and I have not. I have left calls for John to call me on a specific date to which he did not. I have shared my displeasure with John and Paul on numerous occassions.

On 5/14 I started a new job with a company I sourced on my own. I did not have to pay an additional fee because my agreement included language stating that if I sourced my own job, I would not have to pay a fee. I have asked John for a refund to which John said he would think about it and get back to me by the end of May. John added that if he did give me a refund it would be only a "token" refund.

It's interesting to note that the most recent Better Business Bureau report for HiProfile, LLC shows 6 complaints against the company in the last 36 months; a high number in my opinion.
