Yahoo.com help Will not respond responsibly to a simple problem - password change INTERNET ALL

For well over a week, my wife has tried to access a yahoo site that she has used for over 10 years. Yahoo first refused her password that has been accepted for all of the 10 years.

O.K. We tried to enter a new password. We got a real runaround on the site - - loop after loop and so on forever.
"customer care" signed by amanda asked us to describe in detail what happened. We described again and again and still get the same questions but no meaningful assistance or results.

We are only trying to get yahoo to allow her to use a new password since they do not like the old one

It is easy to see why google is leaving them in the dust.
We have even asked if yahoo prefers to have esinvestor to quit their site. To date, no answer.
Why should anyone want to use such an unfriendly site???
