Linda Dillinger Lieing to customer, selling puppy to someone else after promising to keep it

My wife and I lost our 14 year old Yorkie two years ago and just recently started looking for another.

We contacted Linda Dillinger at State Line Kennel about one she was advertising as being ready to release. I told her we were interested and would discuss it between us. I called back two days later and was told the pup was already sold, but she had others.

I told her we were looking for a black and brown yorkie that would stay small, under 4 pounds. She called two days later stating she had a two week old puppy that she was certain, based on her experience wold be black and brown and both parents were small.

I asked if we could come and see him and was told since it was so close to the holiday she would call me after Easter.

I didn't receive that return call after a week so after a week I called her and asked if we could come see the puppy. We went Sunday evening and view the kennel and puppy from a distance with the understanding it was in her interest to protect her kennel, so no one allowed bewound the gate.

We told her after an extensive visit we were certainly interested and I would bring the deposit out to her. She stated that would be fine, the puppie was ours and just talk it over. She told us she wouldn't do anything with him at least until she updated her site with his picture.

I called six days later, after continuous tracking her web site for his picture, to see if they were home so we could bring the deposit and was told, "sorry, he's sold!"

I feel I've been lied to and totally blown away. The closeness one has with a pet is like your relationship with a child. It like being told your new baby can't go home with you from the hospital.

Apologies won't make anything better, but knowing others will be aware of the underhanded lies before they get too involved with this business in our aim.
