Ripoff fraudulent attemp to sell business took money and ran

This company sent us a fax saying they are needing businesses in our area like ours to sell. I responded to fax and a representative came out to talk to us. He said we would not be charged for the services, but wound up taking a check for the evaluation. He promised someone would come out and do an evaluation of the business, inventory, and building and grounds. Come to find out this evaluation was done by a company in Texas called and did the evaluation with the informataion the representative took and a 5 minute phone call. I called the company several times trying to get my money refunded because what was promised to us was not done. I even talked to Randy Hicks at one conversation and he was very irate with me, saying he wanted to get to the bottom of this, also sent certified mail to him trying to get a resoponse. Later, we found out this company had closed down and moved out, taking my money with them. I later tried to contact the representative and found out from his wife that he no longer worked for them. Then is when i got suspecious and got on the internet checking them out and found out they had left country.
Something needs to be done to these people who are fraudalently taking peoples hard earned money and skipping town with it.
