Regal Van Lines, Regal Relocation, GV moving, A. Poppi Storage ripoff consumer fraud fraudulent ripoff business screwed others too

We contracted Regal Relocation to move from MA to MO. Quoted price was $2200 for 5000lb. Address on quote and on webpage was in New Jersey. We checked Better Business Bureau in NJ (Regal had a BBB link on their website). No complaints. We find out later company is NY based and in poor standing with BBB. Company is actually called Regal Van Lines. Regal was using BBB logo without being a memeber. BBB told them to remove it. They also use the AMSA (american moving and storage assoc.) logo without being a member. FRAUD!

They arrive in MO wanting $3600. At $3600 our goods would have weighed 8500 lbs No Way! We ask how much do our goods weigh. They don't know. They first claim to have left the weigh slip in NY. We call Avi Poppi and ask for it, he claims they lost it. We have to have the truck weighed again. Avi told us we had to pay in full to get our goods. This is not true. You only have to pay the estimate plus a percentage. We paid in full.

After the truck was weighed again, our goods only weighed 3400lb. Regal was paid $2600 for a job that should have cost $1500. They still owe us $1100. Plus to add insult to injury, they also stole our DVD player. It was never tagged (never inventoried) in MA so all they had to do was take it off the truck in NY. Not on the inventory then it does not exist in their eyes. These guys Avi Poppi and Aaron Ben-Shoshan are crooks and frauds!!!
