Ripoff Nancy Bernardine custom fine art jewelry artist in Cincinnati takes money never delivers

In mid November I contacted Nancy Bernardine custom jewelry designer to inquire about placing a custom order for a ring for an anniversary gift. We communicated about the possibilities over a period of a week and she emailed me custom sketches and pricing. She gave me a deadline by which she needed the order so it could be delivered by the date I needed, Dec. 28, in time for my Dec 29 anniversary. I received an order confirmation from her and several days later she charged my credit card $499. I assumed all was proceeding.

Dec. 28 came and went. No ring arrived. I called and emailed and got no reply. I called each day until finally on January 2, she picked up the phone and apologized saying she had been away during Christmas week and had somehow got my delivery date wrong—thinking it was due before January 29, not December 29.

She said she charged my card because she had purchased the gold. I said I would still like the ring. She said she could get it done and have it delivered by the end of that week.

It's January 30 and I've received nothing. Furthermore, I have called, left messages and emailed 10 times. She does not answer the phone or respond to email.

She is deceptive, dishonest, and the only type of artist she is is a CON artist.
