ADT - APT Monitoring Services
Breach of contract, double billing, unauthorized cancelled account, ripoff

Account with ADT subcontracted to APT Monitoring Services in 2001. After numerous complaints which include but are not limited to lack of services, double billing, interference by ADT with monitoring of account, confusion as to whom was responsible for delivery of security services to my home, the account was closed by ADT.

APT contacted me 5 years later and claim I owe $1,900 and that they had been attempting to contact me for 5 years, despite the fact that I have lived at the same address for the past 7 and never received any documents from APT demanding payment. They claim the cancelling of the account amounted to a breach of contract.

I advised them that I did not request the account to be cancelled, that ADT did it without my permission. I advised them their contract dispute is with ADT and not me as ADT cancelled the service.
