Afni Collections Ripoff, Fraudulent, Dishonest Billing Practices

I too received a letter today in the mail for a VERIZON phone bill that apparently is past due. Ha... I don't think so. I tried calling Afni Collections, and got the same recording each time, it said that due to the high call volume, they could not answer the call at this time, but for me to go to their website. How convient that when I went to the website they request a SSN - last four digits. No I didn't do it. My God can't somebody stop these people. There are people out there - our older generation that are not too aware of the consequences of doing such things (logging on and giving identification numbers). Also on the back of the notification there was a payment coupon, how many people do you think have filled this thing out and sent it in afraid that they would have their credit ruined. Afraid they will miss the 30 day deadline that Afni has stated in the letter.
