Backyard Breeder LIES to make a quick buck off animal lovers! Ripoff

Tia Whiteley has lied to us from the very beginning of this transaction.

Tia Whiteley is a backyard breeder of Labradors, Boston Terriers and German Shepherds. This was kept a secret until after we brought our puppy home.

My husband and I wanted a puppy. We interviewed Tia and decided on one of the puppies from her litter of Boston Terriers.

Over email, Tia told us the puppy was nine weeks old, five days before we picked the dog up. The puppy was actually TEN weeks old at the time of the email and ELEVEN weeks old the day we picked the puppy up.

At the time of pick up, the puppy we named "Bailey" was dirty, smelly, shy and shaking from fear. I noticed some strange pink and brown marks on Bailey's belly and legs. When I asked Tia what they might be, she stated that Bailey and another puppy would play a lot and they were probably bite marks.

Tia informed us that it might be time to give Bailey a bath and, Oh! His shots are due. Shocked at how the puppy looked, my husband and I decided to take him home. Leaving the dog with this woman was obviously not going to happen.

Bailey was completely un-socialized. We are still trying to socialize him. He's scared of people and animals and he shakes when we leave the house.

When we spoke to Tia on the phone, she said that Bailey was socialized with kids and the many animals she has around her home. Tia also told us Bailey was "paper-trained"... Stating that she would lay newspaper down and when Bailey would leave his crate, he would go directly to the newspaper or go to the lawn outside.

Bailey won't go near newspaper and he won't relieve himself on the lawn. We are potty-training him from scratch since he was too scared to leave the house the first couple of days after we brought him home.

Taking Bailey to the vet three days after we brought him home, we find out that one of his testicles has not dropped. If the testicle doesn't drop within a few weeks, evasive surgery may be required in order to neuter him, the costs being exorbitant. If she had been up front with us we would have been prepared for this possibility, however, Tia conveniently left this information out.

Tia told us that Bailey had been given all of his puppy shots and they were all up to date. After getting Bailey to the vet and questioning Tia once again on the health of my dog, she stated through email that Bailey had been given ONE five-in-one shot. At this point, Bailey is eleven and a half weeks old.

After stopping payment on the six-hundred dollar check I wrote Tia and attempting to reason with her about the multiple "miscommunications", my husband and I have been harassed, threatened and name-called to the point of exasperation.

Just to shut her up, we lifted the stop payment on the check, told Tia to resubmit it for payment, and that we want Bailey's papers IMMEDIATELY.

Tia received the funds for Bailey and is now refusing to send the papers, stating it was her bank's (Bank of America) advice to wait three more weeks.

To date, we have not received Bailey's papers.

I have saved every single email communication between this woman and me.

This is just another case of a pathetic, back-woods, ignorant bottom-feeder and backyard breeder trying to make a quick buck off animal lovers.
