Ripoff alarm doesn't work properly horrible customer service

I signed up for Protect America Inc.in March. The alarm system began to malfunction causing people calling my house to hear "system on." I overlooked the issue for a while assuming that it would get better, but when my callers began to receive a busy signal, I decided to contact customer support. I was told by their customer support staff that it was a problem with my equipment and I needed to pay 150 dollars to upgrade. How nice of them! Needless, to say I have not paid them for an upgrade.

Another person told me that it sounded like a faulty box. They "overnighted" a box that took a week to receive. Upon receiving the box, I called the 1-800 number only to find out that there was something wrong with that box and that they would be "overnighting" me another box. Well, after another week passed I received another faulty box. After an hour on hold with "customer support" I still have not been connected with a person.

I have been trying to contact a manager since my problems have started only to be told that they do not give out their manager's numbers. They take your number and tell you that a manager will contact you within 24 hours. I have been complaining for over two months and have yet to talk with a manager.

So, 2 months and 3 boxes later I am still fighting with these people to simply receive a service that I am paying monthly for.

I have connected the BBB and hope that you will look elsewhere for your home security needs because this company is crap!
