David Gilmore ripoff a Florida Notary Public nonpayment of outsourced Illinois Jo

My story starts in March. It does not have an end as of yet.

I was hired by a David Gilmore of David's Consulting and Services of Florida to notarize a Mortgage in Pontiac, Illinois. I was given an order with a confirmed amount to be paid when finished.

The loan went through and in a months time when I did not receive a check I contacted the aforementioned and was told that a check was forthcoming. Also in an email it was confirmed again. Another month went by and I checked again about payment and the phone went to voicemail. No call back. So I left a message. No return.

During this time of faxing invoices, phone calls, emails, etc. The fax had been disconnected. The phone calls were not returned. Any email I sent with a read receipt was not returned.

Well I was not a very happy person. I looked on the Notary Bulletin Boards about this fellow and noticed that other Notaries were having similar problems of non-payment as well and the inability to get hold of this person.

One probable solution to my problem would be to go to the principal and ask for the payment. Now this would be absolutely the worst thing to do being a Notary. The next thing I could do is to go to the Title Company, which I did, and they had already paid this David Gilmore his monies, but he did not PAY me for my part. And they actually refused.

Another possibility is to go to the bank that originated the loan. I did talk to the bank and they were not insensitive to my plight but could really do nothing.

So the very last thing is to go to a collection company or lawyer and pursue a course of action there. Or write this off as a bad debt and report this person to the big 3 or is it 4. The big guys, the Credit Reporting Agencies.

I must say that I in all good faith did my part of the job. I have no respect for other Notaries who do not do theirs. Actually, I should be collecting more since it has been more than 8 months! All of this for $100. For Shame, for Shame Mr. Gilmore.
