Integrated Area Internet Access, ILD Telecommunications "cramming" or fraudulent charges for services never ordered

The problem lies with a company called Integrated Area Internet Access (possibly disguised as ILD Teleservices) that has tapped into my monthly phone bill and tacks on misc. $2.08 charges for internet service which was never ordered (and obviously why would I have internet access on a call forwarding line?). Anyhow, AT&T said they cannot remove the charges that it is an outside company.

I did not understand how this was possible. She tried to explain that state law requires smaller companies to have the opportunity for business so large companies (like at&t) cannot monopolize the market. I really do not understand how a company can access and tack on charges to my phone line for a service that I do not have. I realize it is only a couple dollars a month but how many people can they do this to?

This cannot be a legitimate company because they have never provided us a service and have disguised their billing in my overall phone bill. Whatever law allows a small company to do this should be re-evaluated.

I am disgusted that a small company has taken advantage of whatever law allows them tack additional charges on a confusing monthly phone bill for services not provided. Of course they are impossible to reach with lengthy wait times and people continually hanging up on you.
