A & r discount moving ripoff dishonest unprofessional, miami

I hired these people to move me from cape coral florida to holland michigan. I paid my 1,600.00 deposit to hold my truck. On the day they came to pick up my items they loaded up their truck very badly i must add. And totally didnt know they were also hauling my vehicle (which i paid for). They eventually had one of their workers drive it off. Im not even sure he had a license. Then when they were done loading they demanded full payment. My contract clearly stated cod when goods delivered. They said they changed company policy. (whatever). Well we paid them and they said our stuff left that day for michigan.

Well my family and i go to michigan and there was no truck no nothing. For 2 weeks i had to call these people and bitch because i did not have my stuff. They came up with all kinds of lies. From they could not leave state lines due to dot rules and they said they fired the guy that signed our contract and all his workers. He (robert brown) said they were down to 2 people. I called everyday for 2 weeks and got a different excuse each time. The office help everytime i would call and tell them who i was would immidiatly put me on hold. I would ask them to call me back for updates and never recieved 1 call. I always ended up calling them.

So after sleeping on a floor for 2 weeks with my family they said my items were on the way but they had to hire another moving company from miami to do it. Which meant they took all our stuff off the truck they loaded onto another. When my items did get here the 2 movers were very rough with my stuff and broke numerous items including a brand new pullout couch and a new 1,000.00 bed to name a couple. Most of the stuff came off the truck broke. After doing my inventory i also discovered i was missing an air compressor, extension ladders, a step ladder, shop tools. The list of broken items was very lengthy also. The funny thing was robert said "its out of our hands now and we are not responsible". Um excuse me robert i do have the original contract. I paid you to move us. You are liable. I have contacted them and demanded reimbursed for my missing and damaged items as as well as inconvenance. I did purchase insurance but have heard nothing yet. Stay away from this company at all cost. They have had 4 bad reports thru bbb in the last 36 months. Bad news.
