Rocky Mountain Film Lab
Still has my old film - longer than 12 months! 23 BBB complaints!

Shops, Products, Services

I found this site and thought they would be providing a great service. They would process any old negatives but the catch is they do it in small batches and it takes 6 to 12 months.

I figured I could wait since we dont know what is on the film. Well it has been a year. I have sent numerous emails and left numerous voicemails. I was starting to think this was a scam.

I finally got a live person in October (only 11 months into processing). She informed me that my film was "next". Ill have it back in November.
It is now November and I called to get a status and I was told that something broke and they "might" be able to get it back soon. My film is "next".

I decided to check out the Better Business Bureau and found they had 22 complaints in just 36 months. I added mine too. I would warn anyone to not send your valuable memories there.

It would be well worth finding someone local that would charge a premium to run a single batch for you. The customer service woman seems to think that they are dlivering as promised... 12 months and we might have it back to you. "just like we said on our website (with a proud voice)".

Does anyone else see the problem here? They give an absurdly large window (6-12 months) and still can't deliver? If they are going to wait until the last day of their 12 months to begin processing I think they should change their advertising to say "12 months is the AVERAGE turnaround".

I'd love to know how many people actually get their stuff back in that window. I certainly did not.
