Gexa Energy
Disconnecting without notice, not applying payments, rude customer service

Shops, Products, Services

We switched to Gexa for my small business. We always paid bills online. One payment was received by them, but never posted, so they cut my power without the proper notice. When they found the payment and eventually applied it, it took several days for them to turn the power back on.in the mean time, I lost customers and supplies due to spoilage. They refused to take responsibility.

The TUC was of no help because, in my opinion, they cater more to the utility companies than helping the consumer in this state these days (they used to not be that way). They "conducted an investigation" and determined that Gexa did nothing wrong. I appealed the decision and never heard from TUC or Gexa again.

After I changed power companies, Gexa sent a disconnection notice to me to scare me knowing full well that they cannot disconnect my power once I have switched to another company... They just used it as a scare tactic.

This is the most unprofessional company I've ever tried to deal with. Make sure you keep proof of your payments & report them to the TUC for violations. Maybe if enough people report them, the state will either force them to act appropriately or enough people will stop using them to drive them out of business.
