First Extended Service Corporation
Ripoff, scam artists, fake warranty, warranty supposedly covers car since new

Shops, Products, Services

My mother purchased a 2000 toyota Camry on may 28. The dealer stated to her that the manufacturer warranty was expired and recommended she buy an extended warranty. She purchased the extended warranty for 72 months from date of delivery for $2,000.00.

It is now October and the ignition on her vehicle won't turn and she has been informed that her warranty is expired. I called First Extended and was told that the warranty expired on 02/28. I was also told that the warranty covered the car from the date it was in service which was the day it came off the showroom floor.

I asked them to explain to me how an extended warranty was in effect since the in service date when there was a manufacturer warranty was for 3 years or 36,000 miles. Also, how is it that my mom was charged $2,000.00 for a 72 month warranty which was only good for 33 months. I was told that she was paying for a warranty for vehicle during the time that she didn't own it. That is a scam if there ever was one. Someone please help me.

The bill of sale states that the warranty is in effect from date of delivery for 72 months. I will be filing a lawsuit. If there is a class action suit, I will gladly sign up for it.

Thank you.
