The Empty Canoe is an online publishing house. It has published about 14 books. They have now dissappeared with everyone's money.
The published authors are not receiving any royalties, and the would be authors have been robbed of their investment to get their books published.
Mike and Kris Canu have vanished. The address in WA where all correspondence was sent is vacant. They don't respond to phone calls, emails, or their website inquiries. Their website IS still up and operational. More people could be taken in!
The Island County Sheriff's Department has been taking complaints, but so far feel this is NOT a criminal matter! Robbery not criminal?
This scam needs to be gotten out to the writing public so that future authors don't lose their money like I did!
