Ripoff deception fraud business

I was at work on privat property Dec 12 when a man from Ad Fax came in my store. I was not aware at the time that he was not permitted to sell anything on this property.

He came in and said his name was Steven and wanted to know if I would like to buy giftcertificates for a local salon. I asked where it was located and he said a couple blocks over (not at all true) It is located in a very bad part of minneapolis about a half hour from my place of work.

Then I asked what was the good deal. He said free wine, free style, free 7 highlights, free hair consultation.
I then asked when would I be able to use them and he said right away.

I knew my frind was going to Mexico in two weeks and she wanted highlights. So I asked how much. He said $45. Ok not that bad. I called my friend and asked if she wanted one. Yes she said. So I bought one for her and I at $90 then tough abough Christmas for my other good friend. That was another $45.

Later my friend came to work. We called the salon to make appointments and they said the dates were not yet valid. WWe told them the guy said they were but they still said NO. Not untill after Christmas. We both looked at the certificates and realized it was not at all worth it.

We called Steven with the # he had given us and it was NOT his. I wanted my money back so I called the saolon and they said on the back of the certificates it says no refunds. I asked for the name of the place Steven worked for and they gave me Ad Faxs number.

I then called Ad Fax they also said NO refunds. Then I contacted he Minnesota Attorny Generals Office and eplained the situation to them.

They told me that if there is a door to door sales person that sough you out and your purchas was over $25 you can get your money back. That is a law in MN. Fax them a letter with explination bafor the 3rd buisness day by midnight.

It was faxed by December 10th. And I had also sent copies of the certificates.

I sent the actual certificates back 2 days later.

I called Ad Fax and spoke with a Jennifer and she very rudely refused to send my money back even after the explination of the MN law.

The only phone numbers I have are for the salon and Ad Fax coustomer service number.

I have left numerous messages asking then eventualy demanding a call back. Have not been contacted yet.
