Ripoff, launched new web based business and website has been down 1-1/2 days w / no response at all. 10 trouble tickets/call go to answering service ripoff

I launched a new web-based business this past Saturday. A mass mailing went out Saturday morning— we received many phone calls because "the link didn't work in the mailing" We were upset to find that the site/server was down most of the afternoon and well into the evening. We hold demo's because ours is a Multi Level Marketing Program, and we had to use alternate websites/addresses which made the business look difficult for people to manage.
For that reason, our very first showing did not go well at all and in the meantime JDHost is not responding to our many phone calls and trouble tickets. Today is Wednesday and the site has been down since at least 7:00am when I first tried to get on.
I have phoned several times— only to get a service— and have received no response from anyone. It is after 2pm and it still is not up. We are still receiving calls from potential clients who cannot get the link to work in our email.
I have made arrangements to change web hosts and have learned that I cannot do so for 60 days because they own my domain name. SO I am stuck with a company that still has not returned a call or repaired my site and is crippling my new business.
READ THE FINE PRINT! I am not sure if this business is run out of some guy's basement— but I am beginning to feel it probably is. Even if it is not, the level of professionalism refects otherwise.
I STRONGLY suggest using another hosting service, unless you have a huge disposable income and can afford to throw cash away.
