Misrepresentation of services ripoff

Company representative (sales person) indicated verbally that Time Warner would:
1) Give us $200 for switching to their television service, because we were switching from a satellite system.
2) Provide high-speed internet access.
3) Provide digital phone service.

Because our address in Kettering, OH is the same as the address of a house in nearby Dayton, OH, I made certain to ask if all of these services were provided at the address in Kettering. After checking his system, the salesman assured me that they were available in Kettering.

I had intended on remotely accessing my computer at home while I was away on business; I asked if the service was a static or dynamic IP address. I was told it was static.

To date, here is how they have performed:

1) The $200 is only for people who own their satellite box; as the satellite company only leases their boxes, then we did not qualify for the incentive. This information was explained to us after we had already had cable installed. The Time Warner CSA explained that the satellite company we were switching from did not qualify us for the $200. The sales person was fully aware of the company we switched from when the promise was made.

2) The digital phone was never connected, because Time Warner's system only shows one house with our street address; it is the house in Dayton. However, the digital phone service is available to the houses on both sides of us; it is even available to the residents of the other half of the duplex! It took them two months to figure this out. During this time, they were charging us for digital phone service; although they have since reversed those charges. Again, the sales person was fully aware of the potential trouble with the street address.

3) After two months of service, during which I have rarely been able to remotely log in to my PC from other machines, I am told that a static IP address is not available; in fact, Time Warner does not provide static IP for ANY of their home service customers. The Time Warner CSA that explained this to me stated that "he shouldn't have told you that."

To summarize: Time Warner's sales representative made multiple claims to gain my business; and now that they have it, they are revealing that nearly all of those claims were false. (Nearly all. They do, at least, provide television.)
