Ripoff, late arriving, slow and damaged furniture during move

The company booked our move 2 weeks in advance. The day of the move they were over an hour and a half late arriving. The 2 movers that showed up said they were just told to come to our house 15 minutes ago.
They were supposed to wrap things to be moved, they had no wrapping materialso they said we would not have to pay that charge, and they both had very little knowledge of how to move furniture.

Instead of taking about 3 hours to move it took 6.75 hrs and lot's of it was done in the dark.

We had damage to a sofa, a dresser mirror was broken a portable clothes unit was damaged and lots of nicks in the walls and to other furniture. Another almost new mattress was filthy from not being covered and nad been draged..

The biggest problem began when I contacted the moving company to put in a claim. I spoke with Andrew as often as possible when I called, if they did not tell me he had allready left for the day.

I was told someone would come out to inspect and fill out claim. That never happened. Next was I had to get estimates of damage and present to them, which I did.
All estimates along with pictures of damage were sent to company ATTN: Andrew by Certified mail, return receipt. Mail was not claimed by company. After more phone calls it was redelivered and someone at the company singed for it.

Calls have never been returned, ever. Andrew has no concern for whatever happened during the move. And at this point it has now been over 2 months as it is now July 19th and the move occured April 26.

We have now had a lawyer send them a letter of further intentions, maybe this will help.

It is too bad that such a compny is allowed to stay in business.
