Ripoff dishonest, fraudulent billing

In I purchased 2 wedding bands from Friedman's Jewelry with a total price of $210.00 I paid half the balance and financed the remaining balance of $105.00 through the store.

I purchased the rings in my home state of Kentucky, where I got married, but I live in North Carolina. I waited for my statement through the mail for a couple of months, but never received a bill. So I contacted my sister that lived in Kentucky and had her make my payments, because Friedman's did not mail out a bill so I could return my payment.

My sister made 3 payments to the store that totaled $106.00. I thought the balance of the rings were paid off, but because the store never sent a bill, before the first payment was paid I had received a late payment. I was't contacted about the late payment by phone or by mail. My sister was never told at the store that I had a late payment.

So once she paid the balance of the rings, I thought everything was clear, but because of the late payment balance, Friedman's continued to charge the balance with additional late fees every month for 13 months. So a small late fee balance, accumulated $130.00 worth of additional late fees. During the 13 months I was not contacted one time about any balanced owed.

I found our when I applied for a loan that they had sent 3 delinquencies to the credit bureau for late payments. When I contacted them they said it was my fault, but when I told the lady on the phone that I never received a bill, she verified my address and they had my zip code wrong. It was off one digit, and my guess is when they entered the information into the computer, they typed the wrong number in.

To add to the matter, the lady on the phone said unless I paid the balance of $130.00 over the phone, they were going to send a charge off request to the credit bureau.

I had to pay $330.00 for 2 rings that only cost $210.00 new, and probably only $50 at a pawn shop. I hope they get what is coming to them.
