Rebate Never Received and $300 Early Termination Fee Demanded

I ordered a Direct TV DVR. After 5 months of wrong billing and huge charges, I cancelled.

According to their website, if you send the DVR back to them, they will waive the $300 early termination fee. When I called to cancel, they pretended never to have heard of that until I read it to them word for word off their website. I sent the receivers back and was charged $40.00 for the S/H. Now I am getting rude calls from them saying I still owe the $300 and that the fee is correct. In fact, one woman started screaming at me on the phone when I confirmed that I was the subscriber. I ended up hanging up on her.

As for the rebate, they never got it. Blah, blah, blah.

I was very unhappy with how they treated me. I had Dish Network for 6 years and wish I had stayed with them. I have them again now and have never been treated like this there. I guess I will have to go the route of letters and BBB complaints.
