Dishonest ripoff

I have read everyone's report here and whether they are a rip off or not, I don't care.

I bought a subscription to be sent to a children's hospital and was NOT given a receipt. I found the company because the boy who sold me the subscription used my phone, so I redialed to try to get a receipt and this is how I found out the name of the company.

So I searched the company up on the internet to try and get some contact information so I could let them know I wasn't given a receipt. While in my search I found a lot of complaints against the company and I also read their cancellation policy. You can not cancel without a receipt.

Well the boy told me that someone would call me within 3 days to verify it all. So I waited 3 days and no phone call. Between the stuff I read and no response from the company I got nervous and called my bank and cancelled my check. The only thing I could do at the time.

Well a few months later a company called Check Game Solutions sent me a collection notice for the magazine price plus a $30 fee. I can not get a hold of this company either, but I'm guessing they can't do anything about it. They did however threaten to report to Transunion and the Worthless Check Division.

I have also found many complaints against them as well and that there is no such thing as a "Worthless Check Division" at the State's Attorney's Office.
