Ripoff wedding dress business from hell

I too, was the victim of Brandie Thomas, owner of Anahysia's Tyme Portal two years ago. I had contacted her via email to give me a price on making a wedding dress for me from a painting of Lady Guenevere.

It was my 25th wedding anniversary and all of the guests (over 100) were to be in costume. Brandie was living in the state of Washington at the time and wanted to move east. We had spoken for a few months and I, stupidly, took a chance on her. My husband and I helped her move out here, paid her expenses, found her an apartment and got her on her way to making costumes for both of us and many of our guests.

As a business owner myself, I made sure that everything was in contract form. My dress didn't fit properly, my husband and son's costumes were not what I had chosen, four of our guests arrived late because she was finishing their costumes the morning of the wedding and my maid of honor's sorry excuse for a dress showed up an hour before the wedding ceremony was to begin.

She had the NERVE to show up at the event, filled her face with food and drink and left. The next day, I drafted up a new contract, showed up at her door and refused to leave until she signed it with promise to repay $ 150.00 a month until the total bill of over $ 2,000.00 was repaid (reimbursement for all of my expenses and dissatisfaction). When some of the payments arrived late, I'd email and threated legal action. Of course, a check would arrived the next day.

Anahysia's Tyme Portal was not even a legitimate business when Brandie Thomas was living here in New Hampshire. I introduced her to some bankers to help her formulate a business plan to do things legally, which was never done and I'm sure was not done in Maryland, either. Finally, after 13 months, I was clear of this scam artist. Unfortunately, a good friend of mine, who did the embroidery on my dress was not as lucky. Brandie hired her to do the work and she never got a dime!

PLEASE, PLEASE don't let yourself get taken by this schizofrenic seamstress!
