They sent me a letter alone with a check it was counterfeit

I received a letter in the mail saying my name was drawn in a sweepstate in neva. Alone with this letter was a check in the amount of 2900.00. The told not to cash the check until i call 877-855-1572 to comfirm the check. I called and a lady answer the phone asking me did i receive a sweepstate letter and a check. I said yes. She said for to deposit the check in my bank acount and wait for the check to clear. I told her i would have to open an account with the check. She said that would be ok just wait until the check clears and call back and they would tell me what to do.

I waited two daye and call back and told her the check cleared which i never carried the check to the bank at this time. She told me to go and draw the money out and they would tell me how to send western union. The check was drawn on bank of america in the name of a globle insurance company in winsor ct. I took the check to bank of america told the teller to check the check to see if it could be cash after waiting 2 hours the branch maneger came out and told me the check was countierfit and kelp the check and tolg me to get up with co that sent it to me.

I call back and tolg them what was going on and they tolg me someone hacked ther system and they cancle some of there checks and my was one of the ones that was cancled and they had sent me out another check and i should receive it in 2 to 7 business days and for me to follow the instrutions with it. I never received the sencord check. When i call to ask about it. They told me i had the wrong number. If you or any body dail 778-855-1572 they will answer the phone as goldern sweepstate and lottery department. Best time to call is from 9 to 7 m-f and 9until 5 on satuday pic time. I hope they get caught even if i have to help. They needa lawsuit file against them they are doing this every day. Oh yeah they told me the check was for insurance on the 200000.00 i was to getand it would have to be paid before any one would bring me the the check.
