Ripoff early cancellation for non service

MCI Worldcom Wireless doesn't provide the service they promise in the Metro Detroit area.

After more than 10 months of calling every month because there were roaming charges on every bill I received (even when calling from my cell to my house while in my house), and being unable to receive calls placed to me, I finally had it.

I had several conversations with customer service and technical support before a service technician told me that "apparently they aren't able to provide adequate service in my area."

I immediately spoke again with customer service regarding that statement, and told them I had to cancel my contract due to non-performance on their part - not providing the service they promised to provide!

Since then I have been billed for early termination of contract fees to the tune of $200. I was able to get that reduced to $100, but even with repeated writing of letters and emailing them I have not been able to have them drop the fee.

MCI Worldcom Wireless has even gone to the extent of hiring a collection agency in order to collect "their $100." This agency has a habit of calling and leaving their telephone number, but no name or company, so you don't know who's call you are returning when (and if) you do.

I told the collection agent I had no intention of paying the remainder of this fee and explained why I would not do it. Of course his job is just to collect money, so my complaint to him fell on deaf ears. He only stated that it would go on my credit report... Which I will then have disputed.

MCI Worldcom Wireless will not provide service as promised in their contracts, and customer service and technical support only refer you back and forth, so you are stuck in a Mobius Loop that never ends, trying to obtain some satisfaction which you will never obtain.
