Statue Records
Takes money from trusting unsigned bands, refuses to return any calls and knowingly sells copywritten music without paying the rightful owners a penny. Must be stopped, Bands must be paid ripoff

Shops, Products, Services

Statue Records pestered our group via Soundclick.com with a barrage of e-mails stating they wanted to sign us. The company also required a payment of 100$ to post us on the STATUERECORDS.com website. (or you may be refused)

After paying the fee and investing more cash in mastering the cd product we sent them the album, art & info. They posted the album at a price higher than we suggested and are obviously making sales as websites cost money and they still have a website. We also pre-paid for 50 copies.

We paid in advance for 50 copies of our album to hopefully sell from our site. We never recieved the cd, s and they still refuse to answer our mail or calls. We have attempted to contact them for 11 months. We suggest the musicians of the net avoid them like the virus thay are. We would like to get the 50 copies we paid and our 100$ back.

STATUE RECORDS also made promises to send sales reports and get us airplay. We have recieved no reports even after asking many times. If they are spinning the bands music thay also owe for that as well.

We can only hope a lawyer will sue these matchstick men and to be on the list of payouts when it happens. PLEASE SHUT THEM DOWN ASAP.
