Ripoff dishonest poor customer service bad public relations

I was contacted by mail concerning a past due account that i did not know even existed. I contacted charter about a letter i had recieved from a collection agency threatening wage garnishment a court action the bill was 35.00 and it was 2.5 years old i had cable transfered from one resident to another no mention of the bill was ever made. It is not normal procedure for any services of this nature to be continued if there are past due accounts owed. I still have charter services and every month receive bills at my current address but no bill ever came for this past due balance they claim they sent the final bill to the old address but would they not have the new one since they are the ones who transfered my services? I was one the phone with charter for 2 hours and i continued to get the run around there was one gentlemen who understood the situation and was quit helpful although there seem to be nothing he could do to resolve the situation. I ask to speak to a supervisor after quit a long wait i was put in touch with a supervisor who was rude and wasn't willing to do anything to help the situation although a point was put on my credit for an almost 3 year old bill i never received or new i owed i then explained to her that it is bad customer relations to speak to someone who is paying your salary

I ask since this billing dispute was charters fault and no fault of my own that something should be done i suggested crediting my account since there seem to be no solution and according to them there was nothing they could do to remove it from the collection agency i thought this only fair since they could provide no reasoning behind there mistake. I was told by a charter communications supervisor who would not state her name she said she couldn't tell me her name for security reasons that the bill was mine and that she was not going to credit my account simply because i had spent 2 hours on the phone with charter trying to resolve this. I then ask to speak to her supervisor and was told her supervisor did not except phone calls. If i could get any other cable service in this area i would have stopped service then. I know a 35.00 dollar bill is nothing i would have gladly paid it no one told me i owed it. I send charter approx. 140.00 a month for almost three years now i have cable telephone internet service at the present time through charter i though i was a great customer i guess charter didn't.in my opinion someone who talks to and treats customers the way i was talked to on the phone should be fired bad bad bad customer relations
