Ripoff collecting payment for a purchase that got cancelled

Upon receiving a priority letter from Crown Diamonds i replied by calling their 888 number that was provided. Hsving to answer basic questions without releasing my birth date and social security number to my understanding that is how you obtain the persons credit history none the less i got approve for $1500.00 credit.

Mind you i just had a B.K. Discharged about a year ago thinking by doing a small purchase i can slowly rebuild my credit. I went to their newly grand opening store receptionist took my information (DOB & SSN, few minutes later salesman (Bob Resto) that i am approved started looking at some jewelry i ask the saleman what is my limit could give a direct answer he qouted "i can work around that" unquote.

So finally found a 7mm ring band for $800.00. 05 ctw diamond ring for $2600.00, warranty for $350.00, and labor for $100.00 plus sale tax. Finalizing the sale i asked for Certificate of Authenticity the saleman said i will receive it in the mail now this is not the fisrt time i purchase jewelry but if you are a reputable establishment you should have no problem producing certificates. Got home have that uneasy feeling wanted to called back the store to cancell i could because the store was already close on next day i called to cancell they said i could not do that because i have already signed a contract that i not gotten a copy of, trying to talked me out of the sale he said don't worry about till after the holidays.

No labor and jewelry was involve during this transaction, holidays has passed (X-mas & New Year) i received a call from their collections department saying they hav'nt received any payment to my understanding no service was renderd therfore i am not obligated to send any payment i understand if i took possesion off. After all the calls i received on cell phone, work, and the people i used for references that just made me furious.

I do believe they are just taking advantage of good people who had a little mishalf in their life trying to mend thier mistakes. Now they are treatening to sue me.
