Service ripoff

This need to be stopped. I am calling the fcc and bbb it is a ripoff. For older person who do not understand the 900 is a charge. My mother 84 yrs old got a call stating it was on her aarp credit card so of course she called them back. Got verizon phone bill stating this was a new service and charge her ten dollars. Pls help stop this
