Silk Affairs AKA Shanna Coutoure AKA Shannon Bullock WEDDING DRESS RIPOFF! Owner is a fraud

The above business received payment in full for a wedding gown and never shipped! Shannon Bullock, resident of Austin TX, is supposedly owner and proprietor of Silk Affairs, LLC. Although her website is now defunct, she is/was masquerading as a legitimate buisness as of 2005 and is listed with BBB (under two separate addresses).

Ms. Bullock made fraudulent claims in order to get my business, and then refused to mail a custom-made gown that I paid more than $2,300 for. I have yet to receive the gown or my money! I have persued the matter with no success since my wedding (June). The woman, and a relative who represents her (Kenneth Laird, Esq), I believe to be engaged in fraudulent practices in which they dupe unsuspecting brides for thousands of dollars. I am NOT the only bride who has had such an experience. I was made aware by Austin Police Department of another bride located in Los Angeles, CA who has suffered the same experience.

I have spoken personally with the woman and she relays the same paid-in-full-but-no-dress story. I am told that there is not much I can do except to file a petition in small claims court, but even then I am not guaranteed to get my money back.

Please BRIDES BEWARE of conducting long-distance commerce with anyone! Shannon Bullock almost ruined my wedding, and is probably continuing her wedding dress scam with other brides. As far as I am concerned she is a con-artist and total rip-off.
