Vista Print PASSPORTVISTA vistaprint.com ripoff - Monthly Credit Card charges of 14.94 for a service I did not register for. Lexington Kentucky

Vistaprint.com offers quality business cards at very low prices. I ordered a set of cards from them and paid for my order in full. It came to about 60.00$. The cards look exceptionally great. I am satisfied with the purchase.

However, I started getting monthly credit card charges thereafter of 14.95$ each. These charges were marked "PASSPORTVISTA". So far, two charges have been placed on my account. The second charge prompted me to find out who "PASSPORTVISTA" stands for.

I googled "PASSPORTVISTA" and encountered consumer complaintss pointing to Vistaprint.com, the company who made my business cards. The consumer complaintss from other consumers list similar charges for a so-called "PASSPORTVISTA" service they never requested.

I called Vistaprint.com at 1-800-721-6214. They explained that when I made my last business card purchase on the vistaprint.com web site, that there was an offer on my order to purchase "PASSPORTVISTA". They explained that I may have overlooked the offer. The phone support person said I must have signed up without noticing I did. That clearly associated Vistaprint.com with the "PASSPORTVISTA" problem.

I answered the support person in no uncertain terms: I did NOT sign up for any "PASSPORTVISTA" thing. I demanded that the charges be stopped and that the two previous charges be reimbursed immediately.

She replied that "PASSPORTVISTA" was not a vistaprint.com company and that it was a third party service and that she could not reverse the charges. The only thing she was willing to do is to send a notice to "PASSPORTVISTA" (whoever they are) to stop billing my credit card.

I still don't know who "PASSPORTVISTA" really is and what service they are billing me for.

I am going to call my credit card company and explain what happened. Since the last charge occurred yesterday, I may be able to get that one reversed. I will also instruct the credit card company to refuse any charges from "PASSPORTVISTA" on my account.

A reputable company should not be involved in these kinds of shadowy arrangements. I purchased business card products from Vistaprint.com, that's it. If something else was being charged to my account, it should have been made very clear. My purchase receipts do not list any exchange or sign-up between me and "PASSPORTVISTA". It also means my credit card information was exchanged to another company unknown to me. This is a very under-handed practice. I won't tolerate it.

My next steps if this does not resolve the matter, is to find out who "PASSPORTVISTA" really is. I may also file a report with the local police. I may also seek legal advice.
