Refund scam Ripoff Carlsbad Oceanside

I hadn't even sent in photos when I asked for my full 30-day refund a week after signing up. They were fine with me on the phone (a full-time job is a good enough reason to cancel, I guess), but when it hadn't posted to my credit card in 7-10 days, as they said it would, I emailed. They emailed me back telling me the date I'd asked for the refund and saying that it would take 7-30 days. The 30-day mark passed, I emailed again, and I disputed the charge on my credit card. GCN emailed me back a few days later saying that the refund would go through within 72 hours. My next credit card statement showed a $99 refund from them. I just received a letter from my credit card company with GCN's response to my dispute: "A refund less the deactivation fee was issued to her account weeks ago." Looks like they have a new tactic — a "deactivation fee" of $40. News to me. I was told that it was a 30-day free trial. I have to gather information in writing to continue the dispute, which I'm planning to continue. I guess they figure that people won't fight as hard for $40 as they will for $139, but I don't want these people to get one cent of my money. For what — being a scamming nuisance?
