Ripoff Non Payment of funds owed

I performed Masonry work on an all brick, new residential home.

The weather that year was the wettest I have seen in 20 years in the trade. I told the Builder that the wet brick should not be laid in the wall. (For many reasons) I was pushed, verbally abused, and threatened by lawsuits if it was not done quickly. I informed the homeowner of the situation, and requested that they ack off on the pressure of completion. He agreed.

The home needed extensive pressure washing to clean all of the efflouresence off of the brick and mortar joints.

Anyone layman who looks at this home will say it is beautiful. If you look at it up close, you will see slight imperfections due to pressure washing. (A bricklayer is his worst critic!)

I admit that there are a few minor things wrong with the job, and can be fixed at a very reasonable price. I agreed to fix them, but was told to not return to the property.

I worked for over 2 months completing this home. I recieved a balance of just 10,000... With a remaining balance owed of over 24,000.

If you can find a masonry job out there that is perfect in EVERY way, You did not look close enough.

I have been fighting this for over a year, and feel with all my heart that I am being used as a pawn to get back at because... HE CAN.

Big business against the little man.
I have never had anything but praise about every job I have ever completed. I did 2 homes for this Builder and it has been complete hell.

60 days was gone, so I was unable to put a lien on the property.

What happened to a few words... Like "Trust" and "Honesty"
It is so sad that some people feel that they are so much above others that they can literally ruin their lives until this is settled.
