Ripoff, dishonest and fradulent billing practices

My husband called the company to have our refrigerator repaired. He made an appointment with them to come to our house on a scheduled date. The day the tech, named Heath, showed up at our house, he did not stop talking on the cell phone to introduce himself.

I only knew who he was because, he called earlier for directions and I was expecting him. He appeared to be talking to his wife regarding a co-worker whose was planning a vacation trip, he was complaining all the while about being the one that did all the work. He was there for less than 10 minutes and, the only reason that he hung up on the cell call was that he lost reception when he went behind the refrigerator.

He charged us $239.09 unitemized, for a compressor relay. My husband called the company a few hours later when he arrived at home wanting to know why the cost was so high. The person he spoke with stated that they would need to know what the itemized services rendered were. There were none.

There was to be a service repair person call us back. One did and, states that there was a fee that was charged for same-day service, it was a scheduled appointment. This was discussed with Heath when he arrived at our house. There was a service fee that was to be waived if they did the repair, $49.00. But, there was a $149.00 service fee. This did not make sense. Then there was the labor and parts fee. We requested more information and, my husband stated that he did not feel that this was a fair charge. He was told that the service tech would call us back. We were never contacted.

This is a very poor way to run a business and is fradulent advertisement. I feel that we were also charged by the neighborhood that we lived in rather that for the service rendered.
