Lied and forced me to continue paying

I knew when I first opened the letter from NME that I didn't really win the sweepstakes, as they claim on the front. I called anyway because I was interested.

When the operator talks to you, he gets you excited by asking you what you will do with a million dollars. He then transfers you to another operator who begins offering you magazines with free prizes.

Several weeks after subscribing to the magazines, I was still waiting on my two watches, PDA, and gas rebate to come in the mail. They never came, so I called the 1 800 number.

I was told that my prizes were not sent out yet because I had not returned the confirmation letter in the mail, which was a lie. I returned that letter the day I received it.

I waited about two more weeks. Someone finally told me that they would send my prizes. Meanwhile, I am receiving magazines that I don't even like. I waited longer and still did not receive my prizes.

I called back, and the operator told me that my prizes had not even been sent out yet. I was furious. When I threatened to cancel, they said that they would send them out to me.

I called a couple of weeks later to cancel because it just didn't seem worth the money. They informed me that I was given the option of cancelling when I first subscribed and could not cancel now. Who wants to cancel when they just subscribed?! I read another report where they cancelled one guy's subscription and credited his account, so they lied to me.

This company is a ripoff and deserves to have the crap sued out of them. They make sure to delay everything so you'll have to pay yet another payment. Oh yeah, and by the way, the watches and PDA are pieces of shit... I wouldn't even want them from a cracker jack box!
