I took two speeding tickets to this lawyer to get them reduced to something that would not affect my insurance... One in August and the other in May.

When I took him the one in May I thought he had already taken care of the other one. A couple of months after I took him the last one, I got a letter in the mail from NCDMV saying that I had a failure to appear and that it needed to be dealt with as soon as possible to prevent my license from being suspended. So I took him the letter and was told that he would handle it. I called back twice to make sure he did. His secretary assured me that it was handled.

Well it is now August and I have gotten an insurance bill that has doubled. I called the insurance company to find out what was going on. They told me I have two speeding tickets AND A FAILURE TO APPEAR.

I went back to his office and complained. He assured me that he would make it right. He told be to call him back in two weeks. So I did. He said that he had gotten rid of the failure to appear and he was still working on the speeding tickets. He said they would take three to four more weeks. So i figured okay, that is cool.

Well two days later I got pulled over by the police. I got a ticket for driving while license revoked (courtesy of the failure to appear) and came so close to getting locked up that it isn't even funny. Luckily my husband was with me and he helped to explain that I did not know I did not have a license.

I paid this lawyer nearly $700.00 and I am in worse shape now than I was before I ever went to him.
