Don't use cingular!

I ported form Verizon to Cingular for a Razr and Rollover minutes. I never had a problem with the phone service with Verizon.

Just short of two months, two phones, two sim cards and more than 20 hours of phone calls to try to correct service issues including unregistered sims and phones, failed calls, dropped calls, incoming calls not going through and outgoing calls not going through without 6 or more attempts.

Each time I was told either the trial period hasn't started yet because they've been unable to get my service correctly or that they are extending the trial period for the same reason. Ported back to Verizon Wireless yesterday with no issues.

Called today to reutnr equipment and was first told return to have early termination waved, with no cedit for equipment, then, after speaking to two people higher, they waived early termination but wouldn't return the equipment or issue credit for equipment or service I was unable to use.

Filed complaint with office of the president, was told I hadn't allowed them two do enough to try to resolve the problem even after many hours of calls, replacing the phone, and the SIM card. Explained again that I'd been transferred between port, technical service, and customer service.

Was told there are 3 towers within a mile of me and that that the female that sent me to get the SIM replaced said that was the last thing they hadn't tried. We tried it, it didn't solve the problem so called back after more troubleshooting to inquire about porting back to Verizon and returning equipment.

Rachel Moore said to have Verizon do the port request and then call back for RMA number for the equipment and for credit and that it "shouldn't be a problem." Donna Capers said she would waive the $220 early termination fee.tiffany Dunn finally said they were honoring the extension and had waived the early termination fee but would not accept return of the phone and headset and issue credit for them under the trial period.

Tiffany then tried another track, saying the phone had over 2200 minutes usage and wasn't worth anything. I responded that first, those minutes were split between two phones and very low when the phones are designed for thousands of hours of talk time and that the trial period rules mention nothing about not using the phone or how many minutes are used.

I've not gotten my second bill, but 2,200 minutes in two months for a real estate agent or any other salesman is laughablely low. Imagine anyone in business talking on their phone less than 45 minutes a day. I use my cell as my only contact number. Even calls to my office number are transferred to my phone, when the phone service works.

Tiffany then started repeating the conversation for the 3rd or 4th time and I, getting nowhere, ended the call politely, having been on the phone with her for 30 minutes. The previous call involving Jimmy Jones, Marsha Diez, and Donna Capers had taken more than an hour. This is more than double the average minutes I was able to use the phone daily, even with redialing constantly and all the dropped calls.

I also requested credit for the phone service, which I was not able to use reliably. I received another call from a different representative, reiterating again. When asked why she called back, she said to make sure I understood what I'd been told. Her last comment was that we all have old equipment and now I have another.
