AAA Vanlines
Northwest Vanlines, AMSA ripoff, laziness, long haul fees, extra fees, scam, contracted service, late delivery

Shops, Products, Services

The contractor stated that the items would be delivered on the 13th. They were not delivered at that time. Three items were damaged due to faulty packing methods. Upon delivery, the movers noted the distance to the door and called their boss, who instructed for them to leave all of the items by the dumpster at the loading dock and leave, even though packing, assembly, and dissassembly was prepaid. The movers told me they would try to help, but that I would have to "help them out."

I ended up hauling the items to my apartment from the elevator to the apartment because I did not have the means to pay the $250 hauling fee. They complained that it would have taken them 6-8 hours to haul the stuff themselves. So I did it.

At the end, they assisted with 3 or four loads on the dolly. They did not assemble anything. The entire process took 1 and a half hours. I had to assemble all items and dispose of all packing materials even though this was paid for.
