NationalEx Aka National Furniture Express Moving company left truck running with keys in it at new home and it was stolen! They could care less! Ripoff

This moving company moved my belongings (my entire life) from Florida to Oregon. On arrival at the new home at 8PM on 3/10/05, the driver left the truck running, UNLOCKED WITH THE KEYS IN IT while he went inside. The truck and my entire life were stolen. After going on the TV news for days, the truck was located, empty. Another tip led the police to the thieves. Only some of the big furniture was recovered - the 30 boxes of personal life long belongings (pictures, family heirlooms, the stuff that really matters) were gone to the dump, along with all my clothes and household goods.

This company, mainly Rhonda, a woman who constantly lies, has done absolutely nothing but argue with my attorney that the contract frees them of all loss -it doesn't matter that the driver was completely negligent, a loss is a loss. After many demands to them from the attorney, asking what they will offer, there is no response. When the attorney calls, they basically say "sue us - you'll get nowhere".

I've had to spend thousands to get set up again, not to mention the emotional toll this has taken, and they could care less - they just hope I go away and give up. An estimate of loss comes to around $25,000. They won't even respond with an offer.

I discourage anyone from using this company - dealing with Rhonda is one big run around of lies and deceit. They take no responsibility for your precious belongings whatsoever.
