Pay As You Go direct lie about service Ripoff

My husband and I got Pay As You Go phones so that we could talk to each other with no charge as the program says we can. I asked the service person on the phone several times to make sure that we would not be charged $1 for the day simply to use it for calling each other. This was not the case. We found after they had taken $10 from each of our accounts that they had done this and when I called to complain, they refused to refund the money. When I told them I had been lied to about this service and would never have gotten the service if I had known the truth, they said they would refuse to help us in any way and that it was simply our word against theirs! Nice service! I guess the customer is always WRONG in their point of view...

I told them I would like a refund for the $50 we put on the accounts because all the advertisements online and on paper and the person I had spoken to all said that we would not be charged for calling customer service OR other cingular customers. They again refused to refund any money.

Please don't get involved in this unless you are interested in being lied to and ripped off.
