Bait and switch Ripoff

I've had collection agencies after me before, but tonight I got the surprise of my life.

I always respond in writing to these guys because I refuse to engage them on the phone. Today, I received a letter from CBCS claiming that I owed Comcast Cable $92.59. One fact here; To my knowledge, I have never had Comcast Cable.

So, I, like a complete moron, tried to call these guys and explain to them that I do not owe Comcast anything because I have never used their service before.

The lady on the phone (who had a foreign accent) then informed me that I owed someone else $288 and someone else $154 and would I like to use my credit card to pay tonight?

I told the woman to send me the information in writing and that my attorney and I would review it.

So here I am, trying to solve a debt I never had and getting myself into a shouting match with someone over undocumented debts. What a ripoff!
